New toll road charges come into effect Sept. 4

JAKARTA (JP): The government announced Friday new tariffs for 13 toll roads in the country would take effect Sept. 4, Metro TV reported.

Public Works Minister Joko Kirmanto said the new tariffs were originally to come into effect Aug. 31, but the government delayed the implementation to allow more time to inform motorists about the change.

The 13 toll roads and the new tariffs are:

1. Jagorawi Rp 5,500 (59 US cents)

2. Jakarta Inner City Rp 5,500

3. Jakarta-Tangerang Rp 3,500

4. Serpong-Pondok Aren Rp 3,500

5. Tangerang-Merak Rp 18,000

6. Cikampek-Padalarang Rp 24,500

7. Padalarang-Cileunyi Rp 5,500

8. Palimanan-Cirebon Rp 7,000

9. Semarang (ABC section) Rp 1,500

10. Surabaya-Gempol Rp 3,500

11. Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa Rp 4,500

12. Surabaya-Gresik Rp 7,000

13. Ujung Pandang first stage Rp 2,000(***)
