SBY leaves for Sydney for APEC summitJAKARTA : President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Friday left for Sydney to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit from Sept. 8 to Sept. 10.
Several state officials, including Coordinating Minister for the Economy Boediono, State Secretary Hatta Radjasa, State Minister for the Environment Rachmat Witoelar, State Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Adyaksa Dault, President’s advisory council member Emil Salim, and Investment Coordinating Board Chairman Mohammad Lutfi, were also on board with the President.
While in Sydney, President Yudhoyono will have a bilateral meeting with U.S. President George Bush on Saturday, “…to discuss issues on climate change and other bilateral, regional and international relations," presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said.
The President is also scheduled to attend the APEC Business Advisory Council meeting, meet with Chile President Michelle B. Jeria and Microsoft’s CEO Craig Mundie.
